We recommend at least an ampere output of 2. This corresponds to a charging current of 2000 mA. If this can be achieved, it is called a fast charging port. You can then quickly recharge your smartphone and other devices.
If possible, you should avoid devices with a lower ampere output than 2, as these are no longer up to date.
Of course, there are also devices that can generate an even higher ampere output; these can make the charging process even faster.
Depending on the end device, you have to pay attention to the charging voltage of the solar charger. Because some can only be charged with a certain voltage. Caution: An incorrect charging voltage can damage the end device.
Smartphones, tablets and devices in general that are charged via USB always have a charging voltage of 5V.
If you need a solar charger to charge your car battery, you have to make sure that the charging voltage is 12V.
You can of course also charge laptops with a solar charger, the voltage must then be between 18 and 20V.
So you see, depending on the device type, a different charging voltage must be available.
Energy efficiency of the solar panel
